If you want to make an extra special personal gift or learn a new skill, Lampworking is a great place to start
Lampworking is a very creative activity, using a blowtorch and coloured glass rod
Within the two hour lessons the student will produce their own collection of beads, using coloured glass rods and specialist lampworking equipment.
Students will also keep all demonstration beads
What is Lampworking
Lampworking is a type of glasswork where a torch is primarly used to melt the glass. The glass is heated until molten, wound around a specialy coated steel mandrel, forming the base bead.
Once in a molten state, the glass is formed by shaping with tools and hand movements. Lampworking is a very carming and enjoyable way of creating your own unique beads
